Molly's Dance Recital

Molly's 1st grade teacher, Miss Felsted came to see her perform.
Molly loves dance. She is taking jazz and is getting really good at the splits.

Waiting for baby Henry

Cuddles

Baby Henry got lots of cuddles! My face pretty much shows how I felt about it. I don't like to be touched while pregnant.

Ready for church!

I asked Reed to get ready for Church and this is what he came up with.

Pajama's from Grandma Larson

Grandma made Molly's nightgown.

Ears pierced!

Molly decided that she wanted to get her ears pierced for her 6th birthday, so that's what we did. She seemed a little nervous, but didn't even flinch when it happened. If only she'd act the same way pulling teeth!

Sweet Reed

We spent many days like this while I was pregnant. I was lucky to have such a sweet boy to take care of me.

Reed's first day of preschool

Reed took a little while getting comfortable with preschool, but he eventually really liked it. Miss Valerie said he was the best singer in the class.

Molly's first day of kindergarten

This poor girl fell and hurt her mouth so badly a few days before school started. She's a tough girl, but she was pretty miserable for a couple of weeks. Mrs. Stephens was her teacher and Molly loved school so much. She was sad whenever there was a break.

Lemonade anyone?

Molly has been determined to have a lemonade stand. She had lots of ideas. She was so excited about every last detail. She poured the lemonade herself and was so proud when people stopped. Reed "helped" too! How could you not want to buy lemonade from these two?!

One Year

I can't believe it has been a year since we moved from our first little home. This picture makes me miss it so much! We had so many great memories there and met so many great friends. We weren't planning on moving, but we were always looking at houses. It was just something we did. One day I got a really strong feeling that it was time to move and it was time NOW! We were so sad. We had grown to love our neighbors and ward so much. We were really comfortable and the unknown is always scary. We got our house ready to put on the market right away. We figured that if we were going to do this, we should just get it over with. We found our new house the same weekend we put our house up for sale and we sold our house that Monday. It really worked out perfectly for us and really helped us feel good about our decision. It didn't hurt that we were close to the mountains and had more space to move around in. We moved to the area I grew up in and in a way it felt like I was coming home. Molly will go to kindergarten at the same school I went to and it has been nice to establish friendships with the kids she'll be going to school with. It really was perfect timing for us and I'm just so grateful for the guidance we received from our Heavenly Father.
Molly and Reed in front of the moving truck. Molly had lost a toenail so she was sporting a sock with her flip flops.

The yard is one of our favorite things about our new house. The backyard is completely shaded in the summer. The fall was not as awesome with all the leaves, but we survived. The weeds at our old house were impossible to get under control and I don't miss that at all! At least leaves can be raked up!

Lagoon

We got to go to Lagoon for Brady's work this summer. Lagoon is one of my least favorite places. It is always so hot and the combination of heat and any ride at all makes me sick. It was such a different experience being there with our kids though. They had so much fun and it was great to see them enjoy it.
Molly safe and sound on her stationary seat on the carousel.

Reed was a bit unsure at first. He picked a lion to ride.

I'm not sure where we were when this picture was taken. It was not lagoon. I'm not sure he's even sleeping in this picture. We aren't usually that lucky.

Our little two year old!

Reed has been two for a few months now. What can I say...I'm totally on top of things. :) He is such a lovable little boy! He loves to cuddle and give hugs and kisses. We are so excited that he is finally able to talk and we are somewhat able to understand him. I remember thinking that we were not going to go through that "grunting to get what you want" stage. We got the "screaming to get what you want" stage instead. Although he hasn't had a very large vocabulary, he has still always had plenty to say. It's never hard to find Reed in a large house or store. Reed is such a good little player. He can really entertain himself. He loves his blanky and sucks on his index finger and middle finger when he's tired.

Molly is really into cakes and clearly I am not. We put something together to try to resemble a train.

Reed received Perfection from Grandma and Grandpa Smith and he wouldn't let go of it. He loves this game so much and is actually pretty good at putting the pieces in the right places.

I can't get enough of those cheeks!

His little garage from Grandma and Grandpa Larson. He loves this as you can see from his expression.
